Littering is a problem every country faces. Waste products such as
plastic bags and water bottles have contaminated the Earth. This human impact
has affected the environment and can affect the quality of life. In order to
solve this problem, we have to work together to make the environment clean.

The human impact on the environment has caused
littering to become a high rated problem. These causes include:
- High population levels
- Ignorance of law (ignoring that littering can be
illegal)
- Lack of responsibility
- Using non-recyclable items
- Lack of disposing areas
- Overdue pickup trucks
- Lack of trash bins
- Improper environmental education
These causes made
effects happen such as:
- Causes physical harm or injury to people
- Spreads disease
- Pollutes the environment
- High clean up cost
- Harms wildlife
- Affects aesthetic value and local tourism
Littering Solutions
To reverse the effects of littering we should:
- Contribute strict litter laws
- Run anti-litter campaigns to raise awareness
- Putting up "Stop Littering" signs
- Install garbage bins
- Organize community clean up events
- Report litterbugs
- Make sure your trash cans have tight-fitting lids
